It is well known that moulding in casting plants is heavily dependent on the quality of the moulding sand and the demands of the components to be cast. Active moulding sand management to optimise moulding sand therefore ensures that used moulding materials (including used sand) can be reprocessed in parts and reused for new batches when mixed with fresh moulding sand. A prerequisite for this is that the sand has been previously inspected by sand inspection systems during sand treatment and has then been adequately enriched with moisture and binding materials. Using systematically arranged moisture measuring points throughout the sand circuit, with the help of our water dosing the moulding sand can be individually configured according to a formula in coolers or mixers and our binding material dosing. Thus, waste resulting from casting errors involving moulding sand can be systematically reduced in the long term.

In addition to moulding sand optimisation we will keep your sand treatment control system modules updated so that you have maximum protection against technical errors which could lead to plant downtime.
